I.   INTRODUCTION

     This Readme file contains special information relating
     to the KONICA MINOLTA windows driver running on the
     Microsoft Vista platform.  It is to be used as supplemental
     information to the Readme file provided by the respective
     magicolor printer driver.

II.  NOTES

     1. Zoom -- The Zoom feature may not function properly for zoom
        sizes less than 75% or more than 300%.

     2. Font sizes -- It is possible that your printed output may
        appear slightly different than the same file printed on
        Windows XP.  If this occurs, please ensure that the fonts
        installed in your Vista system are the same as those
        installed in your XP system.

     3. Driver Help -- The "Help" or the "context-sensitive"
        Help (using the "?" button) is not supported on the
        Vista platform.  To enable this feature in Vista,
        please refer to the Microsoft website for further
        information on downloading and installing the
        winHlp32.exe application.

     4. Poster Printing (2530DL/2490MF) -- In some applications,
        it is possible that the 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5 options may
        not function properly.

     5. Tooltip -- It is possible that tooltip messages
        may not be aligned or formatted correctly when it is
        displayed on the PC screen.

     6. Installation -- During installation, please
        uncheck the check box "Server Install".  Failure to
        do so will display a driver installation error message.
        Since Vista does not support printer driver sharing
        for Windows 9x/Me/NT, there is no usability impact
        if this check box is unchecked.

     7. Uninstallation (2490MF) -- During uninstallation of the
        Twain scanner driver through the "Programs and Features"
        option of the Control Panel or through the START menu
        button, it is possible that you may encounter an error
        message.  When this occurs, you can uninstall the Twain
        scanner driver by:
        - Go to the Start menu button
        - Click on the "Control Panel"
        - Double-click on the "Device Manager"
        - Double-click on the "Imaging devices" section and
          right click the "KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2490MF
          Twain" device
        - Select "Uninstall"

     8. Notepad -- When printing multiple copies in Notepad, please
        ensure that the copy count is set from Notepad instead of
        setting it from the Printer Driver.  You can set the
        copy count from Notepad by:
        - Click on the "File" command from Notepad
        - Select "Print"
        - Change the "Number of Copies" option to the desired
          amount

     9. Custom Setting -- It is possible that when you delete a
        watermark custom setting, Easy Set names associated with
        the watermark may not function properly.  Please ensure
        that after deleting the watermark you also delete the
        Easy Set name associated with the watermark.

        Please note that the same applies to all other custom
        settings such as custom paper sizes and form overlays.

    10. Double-Sided Printing (1300W/1350W/1400W/2300W/2400W/2500W)
        -- During double-sided printing, "A program can't display
        a message on your desktop" is displayed on the PC screen
        after the front face is printed.  In this case, please set
        the rear face of the sheet on the tray, then press the Cancel
        button of the printer to print the sheet properly.
        When using 1350W, after that, press the "X" button at the
        upper-right corner of the message window on the PC screen
        to close it.
        
    11. Uninstallation of Printer Driver -- You cannot unistall the
        printer driver through the START menu button.  Please uninstall
        through the "Programs and Features" option of the Control Panel.

    12. Pinter port is set as "File" when Driver is installed. (1400W)
        StatusDisplay is started up, but the status becomes the error of a port. 
        So,close error dialog.
        Please change the port of printer to USB or LPT, and need to manually 
        start up StatusDisplay.

　  13.Pinter port is set as "File" when Driver is installed. (2300W/13x0W)
       StatusDisplay is not started up.
       Please change the port of printer to USB or LPT, and need to manually 
       start up StatusDisplay.
