OLYMPUS P-400 Printer Utility for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0/2000

Thank you for purchasing the P-400 digital photo printer. As this document
provides additional information to what is described in the Installation
Guide and Instruction Manual, please read it together with the Installation
Guide and Instruction Manual before using the printer.

Operating Precautions
=====================
1. Because Windows NT 4.0 only supports the parallel interface, USB connection
   is not supported. The Printer Utility software also does not support USB
   connection in Windows 2000.

2. Even when the download complete dialog box appears on screen after
   downloading is complete, the data may not yet be saved in the printer.
   Wait until "Downloaded" or "Download Error" is displayed on the printer's
   LCD panel.

3. To install the driver, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or later must be
   installed on the computer.
   If the registry changes fail, quit the installer and install Microsoft
   Internet Explorer 3.02 or later. Or, execute "Axdist.exe" in the "English"
   directory from the P-400 CD-ROM.

4. To set up the printer to download images using the Printer Utility software,
   refer to the Instruction Manual. Normal downloading is not possible unless
   the printer is set up correctly.

5. Although multiple stamp images can be registered, all previously registered
   stamp images will be overwritten once a new stamp image is registered.

6. When using Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, the download complete messages
   immediately displayed in the Printer Utility software. However, this message
   is displayed as soon as the images have been written to a spool file, and
   that the actual download to the printer takes place after the message is
   displayed. As a result, it will take some time after the download complete
   dialog box is displayed in the Printer Utility software until the actual
   download to the printer is complete.

7. Downloading is not successful if "Download Error" appears on the printer's
   LCD panel, the printer cable is unplugged or the printer is turned off
   during downloading. In this case, turn the printer off then on again and
   retry image downloading.

8. When downloading stamp images, odd-sized Exif TIFF (YCbCr) images cannot be
   used. In this case, change the image size to an even number and retry
   downloading.

9. When using Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, if printing is canceled or a
   printed document is deleted from the print spooler during downloading, turn
   the printer off then on again and retry downloading.

10. If the size of the registered stamp data exceeds the card capacity or an
   L-size image, it may not be printed properly.
