Welcome to my "School/Edumacation" page

In the early Spring of 2004 I was riding my Harley west down Montgomery Blvd. from Juan Tabo here in Albuquerque.  I knew that the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute - TVI (now called CNM) was located just to the north of Montgomery Blvd.  I had ridden/driven by there hundreds of times over the years.  For years I had dabbled in the thought of signing up for classes, but always came up with an excuse why I didn't have the time or resources, etc.  I'd had an interest in software engineering for years, but lacked the dicipline it took to sit at a computer and teach myself C++, Java, VB, or any other programming language.  Indeed I had driven by TVI hundreds of times, but for some reason this day was different.  Purely on a whim, I turned into TVI's parking lot and parked my Harley.  I dismounted and walked into the front office, which was teaming with activity.  It seemed that my timing was right that day, as students were signing up for the 2004 Spring session.  I took this as a sign from the Universe that I needed to start going to school.  That was over 2 years ago - Spring 2004.  As of this writing I'm still in school and presently tutoring in several programming languages.

At this point I'm not sure what my goals are.  I was orginally interested in software engineering and networking.  However over the last month or so I've found networking to be stodgy and uncreative, so I think I'm going to gear full bore towards software development.  I still like networking, but I don't think it's what I want to do for a living.  At this point I'm not really degree oriented, I just want to become proficient at programming.  I guess I'll just keep going to school until the Universe tells me it's time to stop.

Purpose of this web page:

The reason I built this page is because I've done a bunch of projects that I posted to my site, but didn't create links to these pages.  I mostly just posted these projects to "private" pages.  Unless you knew the specific web address to these pages, you'd have a hard time finding them.  Today, July 4th, for whatever reason, I decided to organize all my school stuff into one page and create a link to it so it would be available to the public.  Eventually I plan to have tutorials, etc.  A lot of this page's content will be TVI-specific, but some of it will be general networking and/or software development stuff.  I hope you find this page to be helpful.

Places to go, stuff to see...
